Jake LaJoie has a unique combination of private equity, operations, investment banking, and corporate finance experience. Over the course of his career Jake has completed 15 principal equity investments totaling over $225 million in equity and $15 billion of M&A and corporate finance transactions. Jake’s primary private equity responsibilities include sourcing, execution, and post-acquisition management while focusing on companies in consumer and business services, with a particular emphasis on franchising, general industrials, and financial services. His senior operations experience entailed leading all finance, accounting, purchasing, and IT functions. Jake was most recently the President and Managing Director of Panton Equity Partners, a lower-middle market private equity firm based in Atlanta. While at Panton Equity, Jake was on the Board of Directors of Track Utilities, LLC (which was sold to CIVC partners in June, 2014) and continues to serve on the Board of Ameritech, a construction firm servicing the restaurant and retail industries. Before returning to private equity, Jake was the Chief Financial Officer of Shakey’s USA, a restaurant franchisor with $85 million in system-wide sales. Prior to joining Shakey’s, he was a Vice President with Argonne Capital Group, a middle market private equity firm based in Atlanta, investing in multi-unit, branded companies with real estate assets. While at Argonne, Jake served as Director of Sunshine Restaurant Partners, operating 145 restaurants in the state of Florida with over $200 million in system-wide sales, and ACG Pizza Partners, a rapidly growing, 40-unit restaurant concept with over $40 million in system-wide sales. Prior to Argonne, Jake was an Associate with Roark Capital Group, a middle market private equity firm with $1.4 billion of assets under management. During his tenure at Roark, Jake served as Director of United States Arbitrage Finance II, a specialty finance company, and was the first non-partner hired at the firm. Prior to Roark, he worked for Maplewood Partners, a private equity firm in Florida. Before his move to private equity he spent four years with Banc of America Securities in the Global Corporate and Investment Banking Group. Jake began his career as a credit analyst with NationsBank. Jake holds a Bachelor of Science in Finance, cum laude, from the University of Florida.
