From an early age, Seth Salzman was drawn to both systems and food. As soon as he was of age, he started working at the McDonald’s that was within walking distance of his home.
This opportunity allowed him to learn and understand systems, processes and operations from a young age, and within a year was promoted to Crew Leader at the age of 15. Seth continued working in restaurants through high school and college in both front and back of house positions.
In 2000, Seth was one of the original creators of the Moe’s Southwest Grill concept and built it out to 300 units before it was sold to Focus Brands. During the Moe’s sale transition, Seth took his operations expertise to run other brands in the Raving Brands portfolio including Flying Biscuit, Monkey Joe’s, and Boneheads, serving as Brand President.
Seth is highly skilled in building and managing operational teams that drive results. He brings this immense talent to Corlex. His knowledge and expertise in uncovering flaws in operational systems and rebuilding the processes successfully is unsurpassed in the industry.
With over 30 years of restaurant and franchise industry experience, Seth is an esteemed member of the Franchise Advisory Council. He has also served as the Senior VP of Operations for Stevi B’s Pizza, and in various operations positions with restaurant brands including Steak & Ale, Bertucci’s Brick Oven Pizzeria, and Gandolfo’s NY Deli. He was also a multi-unit franchisee of Steak ‘n Shake in South Carolina and Georgia.
Seth has a Bachelor of Science in Hotel/Restaurant Management from State University of New York at Plattsburgh.
